City of Plano Texas Case Study

In an effort to obtain accurate 3 dimensional as built data for our projects, we began implementing 3D Photogrammetry.

The above image is a 3D interactive point cloud of Bob Woodruff Park in Plano Texas. The City of Plano needed an affordable way to provide accurate 3 dimensional mapping of their parks for construction planning and quality control of completed projects. They turned to us for photogrammetry services. The resulting virtual 3-D model is composed of thousands of Geo referenced aerial images. Additionally we utilized high precision GNSS ground based receivers to pinpoint key ground control points that are tied in to these images. Once processed, the result is highly accurate 3 D model exportable into industry standard CAD and Civil formats.
